2275 More Confirmed Positive-NOCPCO

As of this morning (17), a total of 2275 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. The majority of 438 are from Colombo District. Among them, the majority 56 were from Mirihana town area, 42 from Piliyandala, 38 from Mulleriyawa and 37 from Moratuwa, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

Similarly, 410 positive cases were reported from Gampaha District including 173 from Biyagama, 57 from Katunayake, 43 from Seeduwa, 16 from Kadawatha areas and others from different areas in the district.

Meanwhile, 261 patients were reported from Galle District, including the majority 115 from Habarduwa town area, 35 from Elpitiya, 16 from Waduramba area and others from different areas in Galle.

Accordingly, in the past 24 hours, 1109 patients were reported from Colombo, Gampaha and Galle Districts. Other 1166 patients were reported as follows: 241 from Kalutara, 179 from Nuwara Eliya, 138 from Kandy, 100 from Kurunegala, 89 from Kegalle, 84 from Ratnapura District, 46 from Matara, 38 from Ampara, 29 from Badulla, 24 from Mullathivu, 22 from anuradhapura, 17 from Vavuniya, 14 from Matale & Hambanthota Districts, 13 from Trincomalee & Mannar Districts, 10 from Polonnaruwa District, 09 from Jaffna, 8 from Monaragala, 7 from Kilinochchi , 4 from Batticoloa and Puttalam Districts.
