Troops of the 224 Brigade in liaison with the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) and medical officers of respective areas carried out 'Dengue Prevention Programmes' in Muttur, Thaquwanagar, Iqbalnagar and Aalimnagar areas surrounding Thoppur in the east during 17 - 20 December.
The programme got underway as a response to a request made by the MOH Muttur, Dr M.M Rizvi to the General Officer Commanding 22 Division Major General W.A.N.M Weerasinghe
During the programme, both sate officials and Army troops educated the public on how effectively Dengue can be eradicated by maintaining good hygienic surroundings at work places and homes, etc. Troops inspected more than 1260 residences in search of mosquito breeding spots.Running sport media | Nike
