Hingurakgoda based 223 Brigade troops under the 22 Division of the Security Force Headquarters-East (SFHQ-E) using their own money recently provided a poor family in the area with necessary dry rations and essentials covering a period of three months.
Troops ensured that the family receive dry rations to the value of Rs 12,500/= each month for a period of three months with the support offered by Sampath Bank.

Meanwhile, 22 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment troops of the 222 Brigade in Kallar under the 22 Division recently gave away dry ration packets to 100 families in Thanganagar area with the aim of supporting their survival. Each packet was worth about Rs 750/=.

In the meantime, 12th Sri Lanka National Guard troops serving the 631 Brigade of Task Force-3 recently gave away school stationery and accessories to the students at Thangavelaudapuram primary school. The stock valued at Rs 5000/= consisted of books and accessories.
