Major General P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps assumed office as the new General Officer Commanding of the 22 Infantry Divisionn under the Security Force HQ-East on Monday (04 December 2023).
Amid religious blessings and military formalities at the 22 Infantry Division Headquarters in Trincomalee, he symbolically signed an official document to signify the acceptance of his new office. Afterwards, he addressed All Ranks and set out his vision for the Division.
He also joined planting a sapling in the 22 Infantry Division Headquarters premises as a symbol of his assumption of the new office.
Officers and Other Ranks serving at under command establishments were present during the inaugural ceremony.
