22 Infantry Division Bids Farewell to Outgoing GOC

The 22 Infantry Division bade farewell to the outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC), Major General U.K.D.D.P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, on 19 December 2024 at the 22 Infantry Division premises.

In accordance with military traditions, the outgoing GOC was accorded a Guard Turnout upon arrival, followed by a Guard of Honour presented by the troops of the Division.

Marking the end of his tenure, the GOC officially handed over his duties by placing his signature on the official document in his office. Subsequently, he addressed the troops, expressing his heartfelt gratitude for their unwavering support during his tenure.

As a token of appreciation, the troops of the 22 Infantry Division presented a memento to the outgoing GOC. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of the Division participated in the event.
