22 Division troops of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) facilitated educational seminars for the benefit of students sitting the G.C.E (O/L) examination in December - 2017 at Kinniya Central College and Al–Aksha Vidyalaya, Kinniya during 25-26 November.
These seminars were successfully conducted by qualified teachers in the region under the guidance and supervision of Major General Aruna Jayasekara, General Officer Commanding, 22 Division and the Education Department of the Eastern Province.
About 430 students in the general area of Kinniya participated in the seminars that covered Mathematics and Science subjects.
Colonel K.H.K Kottawattha, Brigade Commander, 224 Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel H.K.J.U Jayarathna Commanding Officer 15 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Zonal Education Director, Kinniya, Principals of schools, teachers, officials of MOH Kinniya, Divisional Secretariat and Department of Education participated for the inaugural occasions of the seminars.
