22 Division Educates the Public on COVID – 19

A series of community based awareness programmes on prevention from transmission of COVID 19 got underway at public places in the Trincomalee District on Thursday (05).

The programmes were launched on the directions of Major General Channa Weerasuriya, General Officer Commanding 22 Division and under the supervision of the Commanders of 221, 222 and 223 Brigades where a large gathering of civilians were educated on preventive measures against COVID 19 and its critical effects for the health of human beings.

6 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, 15 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, 22 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and 2 (Volunteer) Gajaba Regiment conducted the programmes at public places in Agbopura, Kanthale, Tambalagamuwa, Verugal, Serunuwara areas and Trincomalee town sector.
