22 Division’s New GOC Makes Formal Visits

Major General Sanath Aluvihare, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 22 Division who recently took office as the General Officer Commanding recently made formal courtesy visits to the 221, 222 and 223 Brigades and under command 6 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, 15 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, 22 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, 5(V) Sri Lanka Artillery, 2(V) Gajaba Regiment and 17 Sri Lanka National Guard respectively in order to be familiar with those troops.

During the visits, GOC was received by respective Brigade Commanders on arrival at respective Headquarters and briefings were conducted by Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and Company Commanders at their respective locations.

He also visited to the Recruit Training School at Thawulwewa and had a word with the staff at the Training School regarding its facilities available at the premises.
