An eye and medical clinic was successfully conducted at Muhaththankulam Government Tamil Medium School, Cheddikulam, on 11th January 2025, under the guidance of Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander, Security Force (Wanni), and directions of the General Officer Commanding of the 21 Infantry Division.
The initiative, sponsored by Group 70 of Royal College Colombo in collaboration with HelpAge Sri Lanka, provided vital medical services to residents of Neriyakulam, Adiyapuliyakulam, Maradamadu, and Thanthirimale. Additionally, 120 dry ration packs and clothing were distributed, and washroom facilities in three local schools were upgraded.
The programme was coordinated by troops of the 2 Mechanized Infantry Regiment and 5 Sri Lanka National Guard under the supervision of Brigadier P.M De Silva RSP USP, Commander of the 213 Infantry Brigade.
