The 211 Brigade of the Security Force Headquarters –Wanni (SFHQ-W) marked its 30th anniversary with a series of formal military and entertaining formalities on the directions of the Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, SFHQ-W.
A formal Guard Turn Out and a colourful parade saluted the Brigadier D.T Gamage, Brigade Commander, 211 Brigade and the day’s proceedings started afterwards at the at 211 Brigade Headquarters premises.
Tree planting, all rank lunch, a musical show and a blood donation campaign got underway as parts of the anniversary programme.
Senior officers serving the 211 Brigade, Commanding Officers, officers and other ranks of the under command battalions of 211 Brigade attended the events.
