Troops serving the 211 Brigade in Vavuniya under the Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni, marked its 27th anniversary with a series of community-oriented projects of different nature continuously for three days (November 8, 9 & 10).
A team of doctors and nurses from the Vavuniya hospital conducted a blood donation campaign in the 211 Brigade field hospital premises where over 202 Army personnel donated blood for the use of patients in Vavuniya hospitals.
Meanwhile, the 211 Brigade in coordination with the ‘Jayodanaya’ Educational Organization, organized a two-day seminar for GCE O/L candidates at Vavuniya Irattaperiyakulam Maha Vidyalaya and Madukanda Maha Vidyalaya during November 9 - 10. Over 250 candidates from different schools in the area took part in the seminars.
Those arrangements, organized by the Civil Coordination Office of the 211 Brigade under the supervision of Brigadier P.M.S.A Pallemulla, Commander, 211 Brigade received the blessings of the Commander, Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni.
211 Brigade commemorated its anniversary on Wednesday (9).
