20 SLSR Builds New Home for Underprivileged Family in Katharagama

Troops of the 20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (20 SLSR), under the guidance of Major General C.S Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc IG, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 12 Infantry Division, commenced the construction of a new home for an underprivileged family in Gothamigama, Katharagama on 01 March 2024.

The GOC laid the cornerstone, symbolizing the start of this commendable initiative. The family, comprising five members, including three children, currently lacks adequate shelter.

To ensure the success of the project, skilled troops of 20 SLSR will provide technical expertise and labor support. Generous philanthropist from Colombo has also pledged financial contributions to support the construction.

The Commander, 121 Infantry Brigade, the Commanding Officer of 20 SLSR along with Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and villagers participated in the event.
