The new Shrine Room at Mahawelithenna Primary School was constructed by 2 (V) Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) troops on the instructions of the 2 (V) SLSC Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Bathiya Jayaweera.
Financial support for the construction was made available by Mr Duminda Jayaweera and Mr Ranga Warusavithana at the invitation of Lieutenant Colonel Bathiya Jayaweera.
