Several formations under the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) conducted several Shramadana campaigns on Thursday (19).
The 2 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) under the 111 Brigade provided their labour assistance to the Bahirawakanda Temple in Gangawatakorale Divisional Secretariat in Kandy on Thursday (19).
Under the supervision and instructions of the Commanding Officer, troops of 2 SLSR engaged in the Shramadana campaign to clean temple premises. The Chief incumbent and other monks paid their gratitude to the troops.
Meanwhile, 22 Sri Lanka National Guards (22 SLNG) under the 112 Brigade also conducted another Shramadana campaign at Chandra Elders’ Home at Norton Bridge on same day.
Troops launched their Shramadana campaign to clean the Elders’ Home premises and provided delicious lunch for the elders residing at the Elders’ Home.
