The 2 Signal Brigade (Force Multiplication and Projection) celebrated its 1st Anniversary on 30 October 2024 under the guidance of Brigadier Y.S.P. Sumanasinghe RSP, the Commander of 2 Signal Brigade.
On 29 October 2024, a cricket tournament was organised, followed by a special dinner for children from ‘Mandula Piyasa’ in Kahawala, Padukka. The event featured tea and entertainment for the children.
On the anniversary day, the Commander was accorded a Guard Turnout. He then unveiled the new nameboard, planted a sapling, addressed the troops, and participated in an All Ranks lunch. Civil employees were also appreciated for their exceptional service.
The day concluded with a Bodhi Pooja to honour war heroes and soldiers. On 4 November 2024, an All Ranks get-together was held at the Mercury Club House, Padukka, during which former brigade members were presented with gifts.
