The inaugural mini symposium on “Extremism and Terrorism in South Asia” was successfully held on 31st January 2025 at the 2nd Regiment of Special Forces (2 SF), under the guidance of Major General J.P.C. Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni).
The event focused on current trends, future threats, and their impact on Sri Lanka’s security. A total of 75 Officers from the 59 Infantry Division and all SF Battalions participated in the event, both physically and virtually. The symposium aimed to enhance the research and analytical skills of Special Forces officers while addressing key regional security challenges.
