2 MIC NCOs New Mess Built by They Themselves Opened

The newly-constructed Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants Mess’ at the 2 Military Intelligence Corps (2 MIC) at Palaly was opened by Major General Nandana Udawatta, Commander, Security Force Headquarters Jaffna (SFHQ-J) during a brief ceremony on Friday (11).  

All ranks of the Battalion contributed to the construction and the cost for its completion by way of labour and voluntary offer of financial donations while all furniture and accessories, needed to the Mess were produced by skilled carpenters in the battalion.   

Major General Nandana Udawatta at the invitation of Major Senaka Muthukumarana, 2 MIC Commanding Officer attended the opening ceremony. All officers, Senior Non Commissioned Officers were present at the occasion.
