194 More Affected Close Contacts Locally-Identified - NOCPCO

By this morning (14), a total of 194 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. All of those 194 were locally-identified close contacts of Minuwangoda garment factory-infected employees, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (14), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory is 1591. Of them, 1036 are factory employees and other 555 are locally-identified close contacts of the garment factory-infected employees.

Within the day (14), 379 quarantined individuals after PCR tests are set to leave for their homes. Of them, 101 persons are from Periyakadu QC, 227 persons from Punani QC and 51 persons from Hotel Jetwing Blue QC.

Likewise, 52,090 individuals as of this morning (14) have so far left home after quarantining. As of this morning (13), 9,905 persons in 84 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (13), 6190 PCR tests were carried out across the country and the total PCR tests conducted so far stands at 342,343.

By 6.00 this morning (14), 11 fully recovered COVID-19-affected persons went back home from the hospital. They were expatriates who were in quarantine. (Ends)bridgemedia | Sneakers
