1,920 Persons Leave 32 Quarantine Centres - NOCPCO

As of this morning (04), a total of 1,262 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, two were foreigners and 11 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1,251 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 247 from Gampaha District, 224 from Kalutara District, 105 from Trincomalee District and 675 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (04), a total of 264,056 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 157,072 were reported after the New Year.

By Sunday (4) morning (past 24 hours), 1,853 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 2 July, 34 deaths have been reported including 13 males and 21 females.

By Sunday (4) morning, 1,920 persons have left 32 QCs after completion of their quarantining process. As of this morning (4), 5,276 persons in 74 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

The latest GN Divisions that came under isolation this morning (4) include Sagara Deniya watta in Yatiwawala GN Division in Katugasthota Police Division in Kandy District.

By this morning (4), several Grama Niladhari (GN) Divisions were completely released from isolation, including Mahawaskaduwa South GN Division in Kalutara District, Periyakallar 2 GN Division in Klawanchikudi Police Division in Batticoloa District, Periyakallar 3 GN Division in Klawanchikudi Police Division in Batticoloa District and Beramana South GN Division in Kotmale Police Division in Nuwaraeliya District.
