19 Sri Lanka National Guard troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) were quick to clear several earth mounds that had fallen to the Nuwara Eliya - Awissawella main road near Diyagala on 7 December following adverse weather conditions in the area.
Accordingly, troops, together with Police personnel, Road Development Authority officials and civilians in the area cleared the road and facilitated the resumption of transportation of the road within hours.
