The 19 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops serving in Laxapana area marked their 27th anniversary during 4 - 6 November giving priority to religious observances at Sri Paada Saman Devalaya and Muththumari Amman Kovil.
On the anniversary day (6), troops greeted the Commanding Officer, 19 SLNG in a formal Guard Turnout at the entrance and invited him to plant a sapling in the compound as a symbol of memory. An All-Rank tea on Monday (6) culminated the anniversary arrangements.
