Following the conceptual layout of Commander of the Army, Major B.A.K.I.K Bogoda RWP USP, the Commanding Officer of 19 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), initiated a project to complete a house using technical and manpower assistance extended by troops of 19 SLLI for a needy family in Kuda Weva in Polonnaruwa district.
The Divisional Secretariat - Dimbulagala Mr. S.M.A.L Amin and philanthropists in the area generously extend their financial assistance to the project.
At the house warming ceremony, keys were symbolically handed over to the beneficiary by Major General P.G.P.S Ratnayake RWP RSP ndc, the General Officer Commanding of 53 Infantry Division during a brief ceremony held on 09 June 2024.
Additionally, the General Officer Commanding of the 53 Infantry Division presented gifts for the beneficiary.
Brigadier G.D.S.M Alwis RWP RSP, Deputy General Officer Commanding of 53 Infantry Division, Senior Officers, Officers, Police Officers, Other Ranks and residents in the area participated in the house warming ceremony.
