1,823 More Confirmed Positive - NOCPCO

As of this morning (03), a total of 1,823 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, two were foreigners and 84 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1,737 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 267 from Gampaha District, 225 from Kalutara District, 170 from Colombo District and 1075 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (03), a total of 262,794 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 155,878 were reported after the New Year.

By Saturday (3) morning (past 24 hours), 1,701 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 1 July, 37 deaths have been reported including 12 males and 25 females.

By Saturday (3) morning, 1,128 persons have left 31 QCs after completion of their quarantining process. As of this morning (3), 6,889 persons in 74 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

The latest GN Divisions that came under isolation this morning (3) include Nayaru Fishing area in Chemmale (East) GN Division in Nayaru Police Division in Mullaittivu District, Madiyyawagama in Mihipitiya GN Division in Kegalle Police Division in Kegalle District and Murutai 03 GN Division in Kalmunai Police Division in Ampara District.

By this morning (3), several Grama Niladhari (GN) Divisions and Police Division areas were completely released from isolation, including Halamada GN Division in Kegalle Police Division in Kegalle District and Wilgodagama in Illapaugedara GN Division in Kurunegala Police Division in Kurunegala District.
