Troops of the 18th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) swiftly responded to a sudden wildfire that erupted in Kooragala area on 10 June 2025. The troops assisted in containing the blaze and preventing its spread to nearby areas.
This response was conducted under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division and the supervision of the Commander of 572 Infantry Brigade.
