In line with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, a new house was constructed by the troops of the 18 Gemunu Watch (18 GW) for a needy family in Maligawila and vested in the beneficiary on 13 August 2024.
The construction of the house was conducted under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of 18 GW and Mr. Chaminda Welegama sponsored the project.
Major General P.A.M. Peiris RSP USP psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 22 Infantry Division, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and relatives of the beneficiary family participated in the event.
