Troops of 17 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry organized an awareness program on drug prevention at Sirisumana Vidyalaya, Vavuniya on 22 March 2024 under the theme ‘Achieve Victory of Childhood Beyond Challenges’.
During the programme, an informative lecture on drug prevention was delivered by Mrs. H.M.T.K. Senevirathne, a lecturer, counselor, and assessor of the North Central Province National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (NDDCB).
The programme was conducted under the directions of Major General S. Kasthurimudali RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 56 Infantry Division and the supervision of Brigadier T.M.S.J. Tennakoon RSP, the Commander of the 562 Infantry Brigade.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks took part in the event.
