15th National War Heroes' Day Commemoration Held at Central Province

The Security Forces Headquarters-Central, with the support of the Office of the Governor of Central Province, organized the War Heroes’ Commemoration event at the War Heroes monument in Mailapitiya on 16 May 2024.

Advocate Lalith U. Gamage, Governor of the Central Province graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Major General R.M.M Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding of 11 Infantry Division, Tri-Forces and police officials, government officials, Buddhist religious leaders, school children and the next of kin of fallen War Heroes participated in the event.

Honourable chief guest, along with other distinguished invitees in succession, joined the representative gathering of the next of kin of all fallen ones to offer floral tributes to the Monument as the climax of the day's event.
