15 SLNG's Anniversary Marked with Religious & Military Formalities

The 31st Anniversary of the 15 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) was marked by its members prioritizing religious observances and military formalities, held at its Headquarters at Kopay in Jaffna on 25 December 2023.

Organized under the guidance of Major S.M.C Samarasinghe, the Commanding Officer of 15 Sri Lanka National Guard, troops participated in a Dhamma preaching session, conducted by the Chief Incumbent at the historical Naga Viharaya Temple in Jaffna, Venerable Meegahajandure Sirivimala Thero.

On 24 December 2023, the troops offered alms to the Buddhist monks and joined a 'Sangheeka Daana Pinkama'. On the anniversary day (25 December) 15 SLNG troops presented honours to their Commanding Officer as a tradition.
