In response to a request made by Venerable Ududumbara Kashyapa Thera, Army personnel of the 15 Drone Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) generously contributed to the ‘Viru Amadahara’ programme, televised by 'Jaya TV’in Kosgama on 26 June 2023.
The programme was conducted at 'Swarna Jayanthi' Ranaviru village in Kosgama and its primary objective was to support soldiers' families and their children who reside at this Ranaviru village. Soldiers’ families and their children were gifted dry ration packs and school stationery items respectively.
Meanwhile, Army personnel from 15 Drone Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery of the 142 Infantry Brigade under the 14 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ-West assisted this community programme in various ways. They actively contributed to arrange the venue for the programme, ensuring its cleanliness, and supporting the distribution of gifts, etc.
The Commanding Officer of the 15 Drone Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery closely supervised the Army’s contribution on the directions of the Commander, Security Forces -West.
