144 Infantry Brigade Troops Join ‘Kiri Amma Danaya’ at Kelaniya Viharaya

2 (V) Battalion of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Regiment troops under the 144 Infantry Brigade of the Security Force HQ - West on Saturday (8 July) provided milk foods (Kiri Amma Danaya) to more than 1000 women devotees at the Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya temple premises.

In response to a request, manpower of the Army personnel was extended to the project. Over 50 Officers and Other Ranks joined hands with the organizers of the offer of alms.

Accordingly, under the guidance of the Brigade Commander of the 144 Infantry Brigade, the Commanding Officer of the 2 (V) Battalion of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry closely monitored the Army's participation in this particular event.

Also the Army’s participation in this event was highly appreciated by the organizers of the event.
