One Officer and ten Other Ranks of 2 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry under 144 Infantry Brigade of Security Force (West) assisted the National Dengue Prevention Campaign launched on Saturday (1 July 2023), following guidelines given by the Commander Security Forces-West.
Accordingly, troops visited households, together with officials of Dodangahahena, 505 - C Kotikawatta Grama Niladari Division, Kolonnawa Development Committee, Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha, Kolonnawa Divisional Secretariat, Kollonnawa Police Station and Kolonnawa Civil Security Department and educated the public along with Medical Officers and Public Health Inspectors (PHI) in the area.
The Commander, 144 Infantry Brigade and the Commanding Officer 2 (V) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry closely monitored the Army’s contribution to this community project, launched for the best interests of the general public.
