144 Infantry Brigade Troops Clear Fallen Tree with Others

A group of Army personnel of the 10 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) of the 144 Infantry Brigade under the 14 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ-West recently assisted to clear a tree that had suddenly fallen on to the turn to the Denzil Kobbekaduwa Mawatha (road) in Battaramulla area after gushing winds and heavy rains on Thursday (30) late afternoon affected the area.

On being informed, 10 SLNG troops as per directions of the Commander, Security Forces-West rushed to the venue and commenced clearing work in collaboration with the Police, Disaster Management Centre and residents in the area. Within a few hours, troops were able to clear the location and restore transport movements.

Commander, 144 Infantry Brigade and Commanding Officer 10 Sri Lanka National Guard closely supervised the task.
