143 Infantry Brigade troops in Puttalam provided their workforce assistance to hold the ‘Katina Cheevara Pinkama’ at Thabbowa Sri Shakya Munindarama Temple in Puttalam at 7 Mile Post on 15 November.
Troops along with devotees in the area joined the conduct of the 'Katina' procession and made arrangements for the religious observances, preparation of alms, cleaning of the compound, etc at the request of the temple incumbent.
The 143 Brigade Commander provided necessary guidelines and instructions to the troops.
