143 Brigade Troops Help Repair Storm-affected Houses of Civilians

Troops of the 143 Brigade on the directions of their Commander, Brigadier Senaka Kasthurimudali attended to the emergency repairs of damaged roofs and needs of victimized civilians in the general areas of Mahagama in Mallawapitiya Divisional Secretariat sector and Aththanapitiya village in Kurunegala District Secretariat area after gushing winds and torrential rains swept across their areas on Thursday (6).

Army troops immediately renovated 20 affected houses and assisted civilian to move to safer places temporarily until renovations were over. Troops also supported repairs of one temple and one school in the same areas after the storms caused damaged to sections of both places.
