141 Infantry Brigade organized an educative lecture on 19 December 2024 at the Brigade Lecture Hall in Veyangoda. This event was held under the directions of the Directorate of Preventive Medicine and Mental Health Services and the guidance of Brigadier R.R De S Dharmawikrema RSP, Commander, 141 Infantry Brigade.
The lecture, aimed at raising awareness among the troops about the critical issues related to dangerous drug use in Sri Lanka.
Two distinguished professionals including Mr. I.M.C.P Karunarathne, Media Spokesman and Education/Information Officer of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (Ministry of Public Security) and Mrs. S. Nilmini Abeysekara, a Counseling Psychologist conducted the session.
14 Officers and 142 Other Ranks participated in the session. The interactive format of the lecture encouraged meaningful discussions, allowing participants to ask questions and share experiences enriching their learning experience.
