141 Brigade Thru NGO Donates School Accessories to Students at Divulpitiya

The ‘Sewanak Wemu’ Foundation, a non governmental organization through the coordination of the Civil Affairs Officer of the 141 Brigade of the 14 Division of the Security Force HQ-West gave away educational accessories, school bags and books to 50 needy students learning at Halpe Ekanayake College in Divulapitiya on Monday (20).

Aimed at supporting low-income group families and helping to upgrade educational standards of underprivileged school students in the 141 Brigade-responsible areas, the project was launched under the guidance of the 141 Brigade Commander and with the blessings of the 14 Division’s General Officer Commanding and the Commander, Security Forces-West. The community project coincides with the Army Commander’s ‘Army Way Forward Strategy-2020-2025’ through which community projects of this nature have been recommended.

The total value of the donation exceeded Rs. 1,56,000.00. 141 Brigade Commander was present during the distribution ceremony.
