A group of Officers from the 14 Sri Lanka Force Protection Unit (14 SLFPU) paid a courtesy call on HE Mr Kapila Susantha Jayaweera, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Lebanon and Syria, on 07 March 2024 at the Ambassador's residence in Beirut.
The team, headed by Colonel D.P.L.T. Kaluaggala RSP USP IG, the Contingent Commander of 14 SLFPU, was warmly welcomed by the Ambassador. Both parties engaged in cordial interaction, during which the Ambassador expressed appreciation for the commitment and dedication shown by SLFPU members during their past year as peacekeepers in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
The day's event culminated with the presentation of a memento to HE the Ambassador for his assistance and support provided to SLFPU during their tour of duty in Lebanon.
Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks were present during the interaction.
