130 Deserving Students in Kandawali Area Given School Incentives

14 Sri Lanka National Guard troops of the 572 Infantry Brigade under the 57 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters-Mullaittivu took steps to provide sets of school accessories and aids to 130 needy students of seven schools in the Kandawalai Divisional Secretariat area in Kilinochchi on 30 March 2023.

The project was initiated by the General Officer Commanding of the 57 Infantry Division, Major General Chanidimal Peiris with the support of philanthropists Mr. Jeewantha Fernando and Terrence Fernando of the South.

The Commander, Security Forces- Mullaittivu, Major General Darshana Wijesekara graced the distribution occasion as the chief guest at Piramanthanaaru school premises.

Major General Chanidimal Peiris, General Officer Commanding, 57 Infantry Division, Senior officers, Officers, school principals and Other ranks participated in the event.
