121 Sailors After Recovery Have So Far Left Hospitals-NOCPCO

A total of 283 more individuals were flown to Sri Lanka this morning (14) from Maldives by a Sri Lankan flight. They all were taken to Army-managed Quarantine Centres (QCs) for quarantine process, a Media statement of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), issued on Thursday (14) stated.

686 individuals who underwent quarantining at tri service-managed Punani (98), Monkey Bridge (153) Periyakadu (111 ) Hotel Dolphin (27) Ampara (65) Lycium Kurunegala (62) and 170 from Navy family centre Quarantine Centres after conduct of PCR tests on them left for their residences today (14) with Quarantine Certificates. By today (14), a total of 8846 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed Quarantine Centres (QC) have left for their homes.

As of now, 2987 persons are still in quarantine in 37 island-wide QCs, run by tri-services. As of today (14), heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stood at 465 in total. Of them, 121 after recovery and PCR tests were discharged. A group of 344 infected sailors are still under treatment in hospitals as of now, the statement ended.
