121 Brigade Troops Plant 2600 Saplings

Troops of 121 Brigade of the 12 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Central conducted a reforestation drive in line with the Army’s green drive “Thuru Mithuru Nawaratak” on Saturday (6) at the Kotiyagala forest reserve.

During this event, 2600 saplings, including Mee, Kumbuk, Eth Demata, Jak, Tamarind, etc were planted under this project with the participation of the troops and several District Forest Officers at Moneragala along with forest Officers.

Major General Samantha Silva, Commander, Security Forces - Central, General Officer Commanding 12 Division and the 121 Brigade Commander closely supervised the project and gave necessary directions to the troops at the 121 Brigade.
