12 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (12 SLSC) celebrated its 7th Anniversary with a series of religious activities and military formalities at the unit premises in the Army Cantonment, Panagoda on 25 January 2024. The celebration was conducted under the guidance of Colonel W.R.M.R Wickramasinghe USP, Commanding Officer of 12 SLSC.
The anniversary day commenced with troops saluting the Commanding Officer in Guard Turnout and participating in a Ceremonial Parade. One of the key highlights of the day was the Commanding Officer paying a floral tribute to the SLSC War Heroes’ Monument in remembrance of sacrifices made by members of the SLSC to the nation.
In addition to the military activities, the troops organized a bodhi pooja ceremony to invoke blessings for the unit's future endeavors.
To add a touch of sportsmanship to the celebrations, the troops engaged in a friendly cricket tournament. The anniversary festivities reached its culmination with an All-Ranks lunch.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks took part in those events.
