12 Infantry Division Troops Provide Emergency Relief to Flood Victims

12 Infantry Division troops of the Security Force HQ - Central on Monday (27 Nov) swiftly moved to provide emergency relief to over 350 flood-affected civilians, resident in Male Kolaniya, Ruhunu Diyagama, Liyangasthota, Boliyar Waththa, and Bolana areas in the Ambalanthota Divisional Secretariat after their houses were inundated with flood waters.

In response, on the directions of Major General C.S Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc IG, General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, troops in collaboration with relevant government officials moved them to safer areas and took steps to provide them with emergency meals, alternative places, dry rations and other facilities until floods receded.
