A group of 19 Officers and 29 Senior Non-Commissioned Officers serving the 12 Infantry Division and under-command Brigades and Battalions under the Security Force HQ - Central attended a three-day long psychological counseling workshop at the Division premises during 17-19 October 2023.
The workshop was arranged on a conceptual notion of the Commander, Security Forces – Central and it was conducted under the supervision of the General Officer Commanding, 12 Infantry Division with the intention of grooming instructors who can identify mental problems of Officers and Other Ranks and assist them for recovery.
Brigadier (Dr) R.M. Monaragala USP, Specialist Psychiatrist and a group of psychiatrists conducted the workshop and all the participants received certificates at the end of the workshop.
