To mark World Children’s Day on 01 October 2024, a generous initiative was organised by 12 Infantry Division at Helagama Primary School with sponsorship from the Old Boys’ Association (Australian Branch) of Kalutara Vidyalaya, coordinated by Major B.A.J Pushpakumara RSP.
During the programme, school shoes and accessories were donated to 30 students of Munasinghe Primary School and 175 students of Helagama Primary School. Major General J.S.B.W Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, graced the occasion as the chief guest. At the conclusion of the programme, snacks were provided to students and teachers.
