Coinciding with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, the 12 Infantry Division distributed Grade 5 scholarship model papers to targeted students in the Hambantota and Monaragala districts under the instruction and guidance of Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding of the 12th Infantry Division.
A total of 3,500 model papers were distributed among students in both districts on 14 and 15 August 2024. The program was sponsored by Mr. Prasad Lokubalasuriya and Mr. Bojaya Kasun of the Old Boys' Association, Royal College – Colombo.
Commanders of the 121 and 122 Infantry Brigades, philanthropists Prasad Lokubalasuriya, Mr. Bojaya Kasun, Senior Officers, regional education supervisors, teachers, and children participated in this event.
