An awareness programme on ‘Malaria Control’ was conducted at the, 12 Division Headquarters in Hambantota on Friday (02).
The lecture on ‘Malaria Control’ was delivered by Dr Sriyani Jayawardane who works at the Malaria Control Unit in Hambantota area along with Mrs B. S. L Pieris, officer in the Anti-Malaria project.
On instructions of the General Officer Commanding, Major General R. A Nugera, 10 officers conducted the awareness programme to educate the troops in the 12 Division on the subject matter.
07 officers and 111 other ranks listened to the lecture and underwent blood testing which was conducted by the same staff.
