12 Division troops in Hambantota organized a donation of school equipment on Poson Poya Day (16) at Andaragasyaya Primary School.
This charity event, organized by Major General Deepthi Jayathilake, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division with assistance of the philanthropist Mr Menaka Jayawardena.
Under this programme, 271 students each received Rs 10,000/= worth school equipment, including exercise books, water bottles, lunch boxes, school bags, school uniform, pairs of shoes, pairs of slippers, drawing books, pen and pencils, pack of sweets and sanitary equipment.
Major General Deepthi Jayathilake, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division and the philanthropist Menaka Jayawardena attended as Chief Guest.
