12 Division Launches a Tree Planting Campaign

Troops of the 12 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) launched a tree planting campaign along the banks on the Samarakoon Reservoir, Andarawewa, Hambantota on Saturday (24).

80 Kumbuk saplings were planted during the project. The Chairperson and members of the Samarakoonwewa Farm Association assisted the troops to launch the tree-planting campaign.

Colonel P.B Caldera, Colonel Admin and Quartering, senior officers, officers and other ranks participated in the event. The troops also provided refreshments also to the gathering at the event.
