Troops of the 112 Brigade and its under command 3 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 19 Sri Lanka National Guard troops provided up and down transport facility to pensioners who wanted to draw their pensions during 10 - 11 September 2021. Previously too, the same assistance was made available to those senior civilians.
The Army-owned buses and SLTB buses in Badulla and Nuwara Eliya Districts were used for this purpose sticking to health restrictions. Troops of the 112 Brigade assisted them by picking them up at specific locations through the coordination of the Divisional secretariats and Grama Niladhari (GN) officers of respective areas.
Coordinated efforts in this connection were taken by the Commanding Officers of the Battalions under command to 112 Brigade Headquarters on the directions of 11 Division and the Security Force Headquarters - Central.
