11 VIR Troops Clean Akkarai Coastal Belt

11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (11 VIR) troops of the 521 Infantry Brigade under the 52 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ - Jaffna (SFHQ-J), organized a beach cleaning project along the Akkarai coastal belt on Sunday (06 Aug) under the guidance of Major General S.R.K Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP psc ndu, Commander, SF-J and Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division.

During the project, all the participants worked tirelessly to remove throw-aways, garbage, and other pollutants that had accumulated along the beach patch. The Commander, 521 Infantry Brigade and the Commanding Officer, 11 VIR closely monitored this community assistance programme.
